Day 6 - London City

We went out to tea  by the Thames.  Kathleen and Terry, Marie and Arnold  see the kiwis with us!

Well was a long day yesterday and didn't sleep that well last night. However should be right in a couple of days. A slow start then went and looked around the shopping centre at the Docks. A big centre and had morning tea/lunch - a lot bigger than the plaza complex to put it in perspective.
Then caught the underground into Westminster - and appeared outside Big Ben. Was a very cold wind today (about 5 degrees I would think). Thought we would try for the London Eye even though we hadn't booked tickets - but after seeing the 4D show we only had to wait 5 minutes to get on. Very slow and smooth. Not cheap (27 pounds each). Great view though.
Then went back past Big Ben and went around Westminster Abby (cost 15 pounds each) and got the audio tour which made it must more worthwhile. Then back to the Docks area - then home to Ian's place (Shona's nephew).

Then went to a local turkish restuarant with Ian and another cousin of Shona's Michael.
Nice tea and good company. - off to bed now!
